Phillip Island tests
Terminati i due giorni di test a Phillip Island per il team Motocorsa e Ryan Vickers, con una buonissima ottava posizione a 1.29.982 e una discreta quindicesima posizione durante la seconda giornata, un po’ più complicata a causa delle previsioni meteo, che non ha permesso al team e al pilota britannico di concentrarsi sui miglioramenti da fare durante la prima parte della seconda sessione della giornata, nel pomeriggio.
Ryan Vickers:
“Siamo molto contenti di questi due giorni di test. Il mio primo giorno a Phillip Island è stata un’esperienza incredibile. Mi sono divertito molto e ho fatto molti passi avanti verso la fine della giornata. Oggi abbiamo trascorso la mattinata esaminando diverse configurazioni di set up sulla moto e cercando di trovare la strada giusta. Siamo riusciti a raggiungere lo stesso tempo di ieri e ad essere abbastanza costanti. Durante la prima parte del pomeriggio ha piovuto e quindi i piani del test sono cambiati, gli ultimi dieci minuti la pista si è asciugata e siamo riusciti a provare quello su cui volevamo concentrarci nel pomeriggio. Siamo riusciti a ottenere buoni risultati e stiamo dimostrando di essere abbastanza veloci, quindi siamo pronti per entrare nel mio primo weekend di gara della World SBK”

“Felici di questi due giorni di test in Australia in previsione del primo round stagionale del 2025. Siamo molto contenti del nostro nuovo pilota Ryan Vickers, che si è dimostrato molto professionale, pur essendo un rookie in questo campionato. E’ stato molto interessante scoprire il metodo di lavoro a cui lui è abituato. I dati di questi otto giorni di test pre campionato a Jerez, Portimao e Phillip Island, sono molto buoni. Questa settimana si parte, sarà un lungo percorso di crescita per portare Ryan e il team a fare delle gare belle ed emozionanti, come quelle che il team Motocorsa è abituata a regalare durante le gare della superbike”

Phillip Island tests
The two days of testing at Phillip Island came to an end for the Motocorsa team and Ryan Vickers, with a very good eighth position at 1.29.982 and a discrete fifteenth position during the second day, which was a little more complicated due to the weather forecast, which did not allow the team and the British rider to focus on the improvements to be made during the first part of the second session of the day, in the afternoon.
Ryan Vickers:
“We are very happy with these two days of testing. My first day at Phillip Island was an incredible experience. I had a lot of fun and made a lot of progress towards the end of the day. Today we spent the morning looking at different set-up configurations on the bike and trying to find the right way. We were able to achieve the same time as yesterday and be fairly consistent. During the first part of the afternoon it rained and so the test plans changed, the last ten minutes the track dried out and we were able to try what we wanted to focus on in the afternoon. We managed to get good results and we are proving to be quite fast, so we are ready to go into my first World SBK race weekend.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Happy with these two days of testing in Australia ahead of the first round of the 2025 season. We are very happy with our new driver Ryan Vickers, who has shown himself to be very professional, despite being a rookie in this championship. It was very interesting to discover the working method he is used to. The data from these eight days of pre-season testing at Jerez, Portimao and Phillip Island are very good. This week we get underway and it will be a long journey of growth to bring Ryan and the team some good, exciting races, like the ones the Motocorsa team is used to during the superbike races.”
