Portimao FP1 P 18 – FP2 P 22
Terminata la prima giornata sul circuito olandese di Assen, FP1 in diciottesima posizione a 1.6 dalle prime posizioni, mentre la seconda sessione nel pomeriggio è stata più in salita per il team Motocorsa Racing e Ryan Vickers, che concludono la giornata in ventiduesima posizione, con una scivolata.
L’obiettivo del team è ripartire da zero e aggiustare quello che non ha funzionato, per la giornata di domani.
Ryan Vickers:
“Come primo giorno qui ad Assen, è stato un po’ più difficile di quanto mi aspettassi. Mi ero divertito molto quando ho corso qui nel 2019. La prima sessione non è andata così male, solo a 1.6 di distacco dal primo. Nella seconda sessione semplicemente non abbiamo fatto lo step in più che dovevamo fare. Ho qualche difficoltà in alcune aree della pista, quindi dovremo capire con il team ed elaborare i dati per poter ripartire domani.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Abbiamo fatto delle modifiche ma non sono andate nella direzione giusta, addirittura hanno peggiorato la performance. La posizione in classifica non è sicuramente quella a cui il team Motocorsa Racing ambisce.
Questa sera ribalteremo tutte le regolazioni di setup, ricominciando domani partendo da un foglio bianco. E’ in questi momenti di grande delusione che viene fuori la perseveranza e il carattere che dovremo avere durante il nostro percorso di crescita. Sicuramente ce la metteremo tutta e faremo di tutto per ritornare dove siamo sempre stati.”

The first day at the Dutch circuit of Assen finished FP1 in eighteenth position, 1.6 down on the leaders, while the second session in the afternoon was more uphill for the Motocorsa Racing team and Ryan Vickers, who ended the day in twenty-second position, with a crash.
The team’s goal is to start from scratch and fix what didn’t work, for tomorrow.
Ryan Vickers:
“As a first day here at Assen, it was a bit more difficult than I expected. I had a lot of fun when I raced here in 2019. The first session wasn’t so bad, only 1.6 behind the first. In the second session we simply didn’t make the extra step we needed to make. I have some difficulties in some areas of the track, so we will have to understand with the team and process the data to be able to start again tomorrow.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“We made some changes but they didn’t go in the right direction, they even worsened the performance. The position in the classification is definitely not what the Motocorsa Racing team is aiming for.
Tonight we will overturn all the setup adjustments and start again tomorrow from a blank sheet of paper. It is in these moments of great disappointment that the perseverance and character that we will have to have during our journey of growth comes out. We will certainly give it our all and do everything to get back to where we have always been.”
