Portimao FP1 P 15 – FP2 P 17
Terminata la prima giornata di prove libere sul tracciato di Portimao per Ryan Vickers e il team Motocorsa Racing in quindicesima posizione nelle prove libere 1 e diciassettesima nelle prove libere 2, in condizioni pista del tutto nuove rispetto ai test svolti a gennaio.
Ryan Vickers:
“Sono abbastanza contento della giornata di oggi qui a Portimao, abbiamo sicuramente alcune cose da migliorare sull’elettronica e sul telaio. I test fatti su questa pista a inizio anno erano sul bagnato, per cui per me è la prima volta su questa pista sull’asciutto dopo quasi sette anni. Nel complesso, però, sono contento perché ogni volta che entro in pista mi sento più a mio agio con la moto, grazie alla squadra. Stasera guarderemo i dati per poter migliorare domani.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Portimao è un tracciato molto tecnico e senza punti di riferimento, pe cui per un Rookie è molto complicato arrivare alle posizioni che contano. Siamo a un secondo e otto e sono sicuro che domani ci avvicineremo al secondo di distacco dai primi. I dati sono buoni e lavoreremo sulla moto per prepararci per domani in previsione della prima gara lunga.”

The first day of free practice at the Portimao track ended for Ryan Vickers and the Motocorsa Racing team in 15th position in Free Practice 1 and 17th in Free Practice 2, in completely new track conditions compared to the tests held in January.
Ryan Vickers:
“I am quite happy with today here at Portimao, we definitely have some things to improve on the electronics and the chassis. The tests we did on this track at the beginning of the year were in the wet, so this is the first time for me on this track in the dry after almost seven years. Overall, though, I am happy because every time I go out on track I feel more comfortable with the bike, thanks to the team. Tonight we will look at the data to improve tomorrow.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Portimao is a very technical track with no reference points, so it is very complicated for a Rookie to get to the positions that count. We’re a second and eight and I’m sure we’ll be closer to a second behind the leaders tomorrow. The data is good and we will work on the bike to prepare for tomorrow’s first long race.”
