ROUND 3 RACE 1 ASSEN WORLD SUPERBIKE – DNF MICHAEL RUBEN RINALDI #21
Gara 1 sfortunata ad Assen per Motocorsa e Rinaldi dopo un inizio in cui i problemi sembravano superati.
Troppa fretta di cambiare le gomme dopo il via, meteo ancora in evoluzione che ha costretto a ulteriori cambi e alla fine, anche un problema tecnico, hanno reso la gara di Michael Ruben Rinaldi un vero incubo.
Per il weekend ci sono ancora due gare. L’ottimismo fa vedere a Motocorsa il cielo sereno.
Michael Ruben Rinaldi: “Fino alla partenza ci sentivamo bene perché le sessioni erano buone. Purtroppo durante il primo giro ha iniziato a piovere e ho scelto di montare le rain. La sfortuna ha voluto che però smettesse e la pista si asciugasse. Ho cambiato ancora gomme ma la gara era compromessa e in più ho avuto un problema tecnico che stiamo ancora esaminando. Bisogna concentrarsi sulla giornata di domani e pensare a fare bene.”
Lorenzo Mauri: “Abbiamo iniziato in salita anche qui ad Assen e non siamo riusciti a superare i problemi. Penso anche che fermarci al secondo giro di gara per cambiare le gomme non sia stata la scelta migliore. Al secondo cambio gomme abbiamo avuto anche un problema tecnico e questo ha irrimediabilmente rovinato una gara già nervosa e abbastanza sfortunata.”

CRAZY WEATHER AND A TECHNICAL PROBLEM RUIN RACE 1

Unlucky race 1 at Assen for Motocorsa and Rinaldi after a start in which the problems seemed to be solved.
Too much of a hurry to change tires after the start, weather still in evolution forced further changes and at the end, also a technical problem, have made the race a real nightmare.
For the weekend there are other two races. The optimism shows to Motocorsa a clear sky.
Michael Ruben Rinaldi: “Until the start we felt good because sessions were nice. Unfortunately during the first turn started to rain and I chose to change the tires and mount rain’s tires. The bad luck wanted to stop the rain and the track was dry. I changed once again the tires but the race was compromised and then I had a technical problem which we are fixing. We have to focus on tomorrow and think to doing our best.”
Lorenzo Mauri: “We started uphill even here at Assen and we couldn’t overcome the problems. I think that stop at the second round of the race to change tires was not the best choice. At the second change of tires we also had a technical problem and that ruined a race already nervous and unlucky.
