Motocorsa e Rinaldi partono in salita per Gara1 a Phillip Island. Un setting ideale ancora da trovare e un “fine tuning” ancora da terminare appesantiscono un po’ gara uno, rendendola più complicata del previsto. L’importante è raccogliere informazioni e cercare la soluzione giusta per una gara che, in virtù del cambio gomma, si presenta ancora più enigmatica. Ci sono ancora due occasioni per sistemare le cose e fare meglio.
Michael Ruben Rinaldi: È stata una prima gara molto difficile. Abbiamo ritrovato i problemi di setting avuti nei test. Pensavamo di aver risolto e invece non riusciamo ancora a trovare il bilanciamento giusto. Per questo non sono riuscito a guidare come volevo. Abbiamo raccolto un po’ di informazioni e speriamo di trovare quello che ci serve per fare un passo in avanti.
Lorenzo Mauri: Prima gara molto in salita ma noi ed il team Motocorsa siamo abituati alle grandi sfide. Sapevamo che avremmo faticato ma non così tanto. Abbiamo un pomeriggio e una notte per studiare e capire quello che non ha funzionato come volevamo. Sono certo che i miei uomini troveranno la soluzione. La moto ha funzionato bene. Manca solo il feeling del pilota a livello di sensazioni. Ci mettiamo subito al lavoro e vediamo di crescere.
Phillip Island, Race 1: Rinaldi and Motocorsa in search of feeling!
Motocorsa and Rinaldi start uphill for Race1 at Phillip Island. An ideal setting still to be found and a “fine tuning” still to be completed weigh down race one a bit, making it more complicated than expected. The important thing is to gather information and look for the right solution for a race which, by virtue of the tire change, is even more enigmatic. There are still two opportunities to fix things and do better.
Michael Ruben Rinaldi: It was a very difficult first race. We had the seting issues we had in the tests. We thought we had solved them and instead we still can’t find the right balance. This is why I wasn’t able to ride as I wanted. We have gathered some information and hope to find what we need to take a step forward.
Lorenzo Mauri: Very uphill first race but we and the Motocorsa team are used to big challenges. We knew we would struggle but not that much. We have an afternoon and a night to study and understand what didn’t work as we wanted. I’m sure my men will find the solution. The bike ran well. The only thing missing is the rider’s feeling in terms of sensations. We get to work straight away and see how we grow.
