Phillip Island SUPERPOLE RACE: P 15 RACE 2: P 15
Round Australiano concluso in quindicesima posizione per Ryan Vickers e Motocorsa, sia in Superpole Race che in Gara 2. Weekend in crescendo per tutto il team, che si ritrova alla conclusione del primo appuntamento stagionale, con gli obiettivi prefissati raggiunti. Pronti per lavorare sui dati e migliorarsi, per ritrovarsi in pista al secondo round a Portimao, dove Ryan ha già girato durante i test pre stagionali.
Ryan Vickers:
“Il primo round qui a Phillip Island è finito. Sono molto contento di queste prime gare nel campionato World Superbike, perché siamo riusciti ad ottenere dei punti sia ieri che oggi, Phillip Island è un circuito molto difficile, quindi aver ottenuto questi risultati mi rende abbastanza soddisfatto. Sono il pilota Rookie con meno esperienza su questa pista, ma nonostante ciò siamo stati in grado di migliorare. E’ stata una bella gara oggi, ho fatto un errore nel primo giro e abbiamo perso alcune posizioni, avremmo potuto essere di nuovo in P 13 almeno. Lavoriamo tutti molto duramente, ora avremo cinque settimane di pausa, in cui analizzeremo altre cose, mi allenerò e lavorerò per migliorare e tornare in pista a Portimao.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“Siamo soddisfatti di questo primo round della stagione, sapevamo che sarebbe stata una pista molto difficile, forse una delle più difficili del campionato, perché è stata la prima gara e su una pista su cui Ryan non ha mai corso. Nonostante questo è riuscito sempre a migliorarsi e torniamo in Europa fiduciosi che su piste su cui ha già corso con altre categorie potrà sicuramente ottenere performance migliori rispetto all’Australia. Il team crede in lui perché ha delle buonissime basi per diventare un grande pilota e ora dobbiamo crescere insieme. Concludiamo questo weekend soddisfatti delle prestazioni che sono andate sempre in crescendo.”
GROWING WEEKEND FOR RYAN VICKERS AND MOTOCROSS AT PHILLIP ISLAND
Phillip Island SUPERPOLE RACE: P 15 RACE 2: P 15
The first World Superbike championship race at Phillip Island ended for Ryan Vickers and the Motocorsa team in thirteenth position. After a challenging morning due to a crash in FP3, Ryan Vickers managed to take home sixteenth on the grid during Superpole. Despite the morning’s crash and the very high temperatures, the young British rider and the team secured the first three points of the season.
Ryan Vickers:
“The first round here at Phillip Island is over. I am very happy with these first races in the World Superbike championship, because we were able to score some points both yesterday and today, Phillip Island is a very difficult circuit, so to have obtained these results makes me quite satisfied. I am the least experienced Rookie rider at this track, but despite that we were able to improve. It was a good race today, I made a mistake on the first lap and we lost some positions, we could have been back in P13 at least. We are all working very hard, now we will have a five-week break, where we will analyse other things, train and work to improve and get back on track at Portimao.”
Lorenzo Mauri:
“We are satisfied with this first round of the season, we knew it was going to be a very difficult track, maybe one of the most difficult in the championship, because it was the first race and on a track Ryan has never raced on. Despite this he has always managed to improve and we return to Europe confident that on tracks where he has already raced in other categories he can certainly perform better than in Australia. The team believes in him because he has a very good foundation to become a great rider and now we have to grow together. We end this weekend satisfied with his performance, which has been on the up and up.”
